UFL: Where Future Stars Come To Play!

The United Football League. Hmm… Never heard of it. Why? Because it is a new league! It was founded in 2007, and the season will start in Fall 2009.

Even though the NFL and UFL commissioners, Roger Goodell and Michael Huyghue, haven’t made any connection at all, they plan to make the UFL a “minor” league for the NFL.

Thanks to Brian Lumpkin’s story and Bryan Brackney spreading interest into it, I decided to. My cousin, Krishna, is 10 years old and lives in Las Vegas. He always wanted to see a football team for them. All he has watched is UNLV and other Nevada college teams.

Well, now he can see one. The UFL has a team for Las Vegas but somehow its just called UFL Las Vegas. The coach will be Jim Fassel. There are also three other teams: UFL New York, UFL Orlando, and UFL San Francisco. There are four teams in the league.

If the UFL were to be a “minor” league for the NFL, they better be pretty good. They don’t want to end up like NFL Europe. Oh, what a bad story that was. That was horrible. I hated NFL Europe.

And then don’t forget XFL! It only lasted for one year and when Tommy Maddox was a star there, he was horrible in the NFL and lost his job to Ben Roethlishberger, even though he did get a Super Bowl ring in 2005.

The UFL games will be played on the channel Versus and will be placed in high-definition. Pretty tight, huh? I thought so.

No stadiums, though, have been made and the only that has accepted is AT&T Park. Other teams have been noticed that aren’t yet, according to The New York Times, but the UFL has informed that they won’t be in the first two seasons.

Another thing I like is that a great coach has finally returned, but not to the NFL. His name please? Dennis Green. Yeah, I know, the guy who was pissed off in that press conference (“THE BEARS ARE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE! AND WE LET THEM OFF THE HOOK! IF YOU WANT TO CROWN THEM, YOU CROWN THEIR A**!”).

Now besides looking at the coaches, how about the players? I could expect Andre Smith going there, okay, not really, that was a joke. It could be possible. Some people expect him to be a bust in the NFL.

I heard rumors that Michael Vick will be going there, but for right now, he is doing construction for 40 hours a week. But maybe when he is done, he could go to the UFL because I don’t expect him returning to the NFL.

How about Ryan Leaf? He could possibly return playing football again? I don’t expect him to be that much of a goof in the UFL than he was in the NFL. How about Chris Leak? He didn’t do anything in the NFL and can come play in the UFL. Right now, he plays for a league nobody cares about.

Jared Zabransky anyone? After being on the NCAA Football 2008 cover, I thought he could be a successful quarterback in the NFL. Turns out, he didn’t. The UFL could fit him.

Hey, what about you! If you have ever played any football in college, the UFL could be for you. No, I am serious! If you want to, you just have to sign the registration form and I think they will try you out and stuff. You can even become a coach or an agent!

I really want to see the UFL become a success. It looks to be. Hey, Scottie Cordier (the man I interviewed in one of my articles), come and join man! The UFL can become a good place for you. If you think you can’t make it to the NFL, try out the UFL.

UFL, let’s see what you got. You can do it, if you make the cut.

So that is the UFL. It’s where future stars come to play! JOIN NOW!
